45 years without exercise

As a teen I swam (summers across a lake and back (2miles round trip) after riding 15M on a bicyle. Winters skated 40 hrs week.

Got older and stopped doing anything (40ish)except 1/2 an hour to 2 hrs walking.

Hit 55, worked in an office and do nothing, except for a bit of shoulder stretches...

Well I decided to do a few more stretching exercise (have chronic pain, hips, shoulders, knees and my back has been a problem since my 20's...)

Did these simple stretches and could feel my muscles screaming at me. But it feels better, more of a sore muscle groaning softly than a screaming joint, spasms and sharp pains (LOL)

BTW if I sit cross legged on the floor for more than 5 minutes, I have to roll to my hands and knees to get upright and my knees are killing me.
